FX Skipper is an independent price comparison for international money transfers. It shows what a transfer really costs — the amount that arrives after every fee and exchange-rate margin — and it is explicit about which numbers are real quotes and which are estimates.
FX Skipper is built and maintained by Madalina, founder of FX Skipper. Background:
An advertised exchange rate rarely tells you what arrives. A transfer can carry a flat fee, a percentage fee and an exchange-rate margin, and each provider presents them differently. FX Skipper puts them into one comparable figure — what the recipient actually gets — across 173 currency corridors, including many routes out of the Gulf.
It also tries to be honest about the limits of what can be known: a real price from a provider is shown as a live quote; anything else is labelled a typical-fee estimate and is never ranked as the best option. See the methodology for exactly how.
Mid-market rates, live quotes, estimates and the rules for which providers are listed in which country are all described, with a worked example, on the methodology page.
